More Than Enough .....
of "Politics As Usual"…
For many years, as my Dad
did before me, I described myself and so registered myself as a Republican.
The elites of the Republican Party lost sight of what the party traditionally stood for and the party lost
its way, losing me and people like me in the process. I am now a registered Independent and a Conservative.
The "Wackos" are not taking over the Republican Party as
Pennsylvania’s Governor Rendell recently opined, We the People are taking it back. Hide and watch Republican elites;
tremble with anxiety Democrats. We are coming, we know the Constitution, and we are not amused by the way the establishment
party apparatchiks of both major parties have betrayed their trust and bilked the American people.
There is change in the air, blood in the water, and come November the reckoning
will come, and not just for Democratic incumbents. And Republican RINOS who try to "Talk the Walk" and then on reelection
think they can go back to business as usual better understand that in the following election they will be held accountable.
We live in a Republic, we are now awake, and things will never go
back to the status quo again. And as far as President Obama
is concerned, as the old cowboy in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" said, "Your days is done, Butch."
A Democratic majority in government has been a disaster for America.
A majority in the House. A majority in the Senate. A presidential election victory in 2008 and a Democratic president in the
White House. And the Democrats have controlled the Congress since 2006, so the economic blundering and foreign policy disasters
of the last 20 months can't just be fobbed off as "Bush's fault".
Being a "community organizer" means never having met a payroll, never having any experience
in making the tough decisions necessary to run a business and make a profit, and it brings very little management experience
with it. President Obama is on the "campaign trail" again---at least in those venues where his desperate Democratic
compatriots will allow him to speak, lest they slip ever lower in the polls---but he really never left it. He is the Energizer Bunny of presidents, bouncing from speech to speech, all over the
country, because giving speeches is his only skill. He's a one-term president, and he is dragging his party down with him.
Come November, our over-exposed president may have to curtail his travels and stay in the Oval Office for a change, and perhaps
try to learn the job of the presidency.

The More Things Change
President Obama is celebrating the removal of the "last U.S. combat units
in Iraq". You can paint stripes on a mule and call it a zebra
but it is still a mule. Thank God that Obama simply switched designations on units from combat brigades to "training
assistance" units, because the idea of leaving U.S. trainers and logistics units there without any backup is too horrible
to contemplate.
No knowledgeable people expect Iraq
to remain a nation as currently constituted. When the victorious European Powers sliced up and shared out the moribund Ottoman
Empire in 1919 they simply drew lines on a map of the Middle East and divided the spoils without regard to religion, ethnicity
or reasonable geographic boundaries. The Middle East, never in history a region of calm and peace, has been in turmoil ever
since.
With a three-sided Civil War coming shortly (Kurds, Sunni,
Shi'ia) the last thing we needed to do is to leave 50,000 unprotected U.S. military hostages there for one warring faction
or the other to pick up. With the "zebra brigades" there, when the ethnic and religious sectarian fighting starts
and the "government" collapses we might have a prayer of policing up most of our people and moving them north into
Kurdistan where they can lager up, watch the game, and perhaps come home someday.

A case of poor judgment
Our current president cannot manage to fathom what the youngest executive
trainee manages to learn quickly; what the youngest lieutenant or ensign in our military learns quickly; what every young
teacher learns quickly. And, that is when to shut up and listen. BHO pops off at the mouth on the most inopportune
subjects, and then spends weeks attempting to retreat from the very clear and often stupid position he has taken. There
are simply some times and places in life when it is poor judgment to comment about things that you have no experience about.
Most of us in life learn to never miss a chance to shut up when we don’t know what we’re talking about.
See what else Gladius Maximus has to say about poor judgment. Click here.

Radical Islam wins another round.
With the murder of 10 medical aid workers in Afghanistan, the Taliban released
a statement that the murders were because the 10 were proselytizing for Christianity. The medical group’s spokesperson
denied the claim. The important message to take from this event, however, is not that Afghanistan is a dangerous place for
aid workers, but that radical Islam will not tolerate any Christian witness, real or merely perceived.
While Islam lobbies to build its memorial of triumph over the Twin Towers in New York,
there is no tolerance for other religions in Islamic countries. This isn’t politics. We are in a war of faith. If you
believe otherwise you are deluding yourself.
Go to Saudi Arabia
and stand on the street corner handing out Bibles. You will be arrested, tried, imprisoned and, if you are lucky, once your
sentence is completed you will be deported. Try that in Iran. Syria. Heck, try it in any Muslim country and the response will
be virtually the same, but only in a matter of degrees.
Even
in "enlightened" Indonesia, Christians are persecuted for any overt witnessing, handing out of Bibles or other Christian
activity. Christian churches are virtually underground movements. Why our free press cannot seem to report the truth about
radical Islam is beyond my cognizance. Why our government doesn’t get the message that these people will not give up
their core beliefs is incredible.
Two U.S. Marines were killed
in southern Afghanistan Saturday August 7th, while a prisoner was trying to escape. The prisoner escaped a room
where he was observing prayer time, somehow got hold of a rifle, then fought Afghan and coalition forces, according to an
ISAF press release. Do you think for a minute that the Iranian government will give a Bible to its prisoners and escort them
to a separate prayer chapel to observe their Christian faith? There is not a chance of that. Yet, while in the midst of practicing
his faith, this radical Muslim killed two Marines.
I almost
feel sorry for the fools in New York who are facilitating the creation of the so-called Islamic center there. They will indeed
reap a whirlwind for their trouble. I’m not a biblical prophet but I predict that a radical mullah will ensconce himself
there and begin the radicalization of disenchanted youngsters in New York immediately. In short order after completion of
the mosque, a madrasah (Muslim religious school) will have started for that purpose. There are times when I hate being right,
and this is one of them.
We are not fighting terrorism. Terrorism
is merely a weapon. To say we are fighting terrorism is like saying we are fighting rifles; or we are fighting machineguns.
We are fighting radical Islam, and terrorism is their weapon of choice.

It is Treason!
It is treason, pure and simple. We call it leaks. We call it journalism.
We call it anything but the capital crime that it is: Treason. Such a cute little name, WikiLeaks is. Makes
it sound so innocuous and innocent.

Time is issue in Afghanistan war
By Retired Gen. Barry R. McCaffrey The least of our U.S. national security
problems is the huge media controversy generated by the Rolling Stone article that shocked the Washington policy community
by revealing the animosity and arrogance of the senior McChrystal battle staff toward their own governmental leadership team.
The damaging article documented appallingly bad judgment, surprising military disloyalty and probably was fatally damaging
to Gen. Stanley McChrystal's ability to orchestrate a NATO allied and inter-agency counter-insurgency operation.

Security Charade
by Ralph Peters. Anyone with military experience knew that the
president's earlier decision to send 1,200 National Guard soldiers to Arizona's border with Mexico was a purely political
move. But few realized just how cynical it was.

The Quest For American Leadership
by Liberty Belle
The
election of President Obama, the Tea Party movement and soaring popularity of Glenn Beck indicate millions of Americans yearn
for a better America, divergent as their messages may appear. President Obama ran on a message of transforming America, leveling
the playing field, expanding opportunities for all, and beating down the status quo. Those on the right of the political spectrum,
calm down, I am speaking about the message, not the reality.
